On 8 October, Valery Osipyan, the chief advisor to Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reported aysor.am.
The same source wrote that Osipyan refused to go to work, and the human resources department of the government again without his awareness sent him for holidays. After the expiration of his holidays, Osipyan submitted his resignation application to Pashinyan.
Osipyan was the chief advisor to Pashinyan only from 18 September until 8 October. Earlier, Valery Osipyan acted as the Head of Armenia’s police. The Armenian newspaper Hraparak speculated that at the cabinet meeting on 17 September, Pashinyan ordered Osipyan to clear the way to the Amulsar gold mine (Caucasus watch reported) and support its development and Osipyan refused which led to his resignation as Armenia’s chief of police and the immediate appointment as Pashinyan’s chief advisor (Caucasus Watch reported).
