In Ingushetia, salaries of officials six times higher than the median income

The all-Russian median income of an official in 2020 amounted to 988 euros a month, reports "Transparency" (recognised in Russia as a foreign agent) with reference to the data of the "Declarator" database.

At the same time, according to Rosstat, the average median income of a resident of Russia was 325 euros (statistics include data on the annexed by Russia Crimea and Sevastopol).

The largest gap in the incomes of officials and other residents is observed in regions with low social protection of the population: in Tuva - seven times, in Ingushetia - six times. In Tuva, an official earns 1253 euros on average, an ordinary resident – 168 euros. In the Altai Republic, the ratio is 711 euros versus 204 euros, in Khakassia – 903 euros versus 241 euros, in the Novosibirsk region – 1072 euros versus 301 euros.

The highest median income in absolute terms is for officials from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug – 2905 euros a month. This is followed by Moscow (2604) and Yakutia (2230). The most modest median incomes belong to the officials of the Kirv region (626), the Republics of Kalmykia (578) and North Ossetia (542). A median income is the middle income, with approximately 50% of wages above and below the median.

The smallest income gap (2 times) is shown by Belgorod and Kaluga regions, Krasnodar Territory, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Adygea, North Ossetia, and Tatarstan.
