Kadyrov commented on financing of Chechnya from federal budget

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, explained why, in a conversation with the chairman of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, he named the figure of 3.4 billion euros a year in relation to financing the republic from the federal budget.

An entry published on Kadyrov's Telegram channel mentions a larger amount – 4.2 billion euros. "Pay attention, this is the full figure of the entire budget system of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Chechen Republic and we are talking about the federal content of the republic, and not just about the consolidated budget of the region. Do not confuse. And I did not make a reservation, as some regarded it. I repeat we are talking about the content. Here are the content and territorial branches of federal authorities (the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office, etc.), the Pension Fund, the Medical and Social Insurance Funds," Kadyrov said. In his opinion, "this figure is absolutely not vast. And the same content exists in all regions of Russia."

Kadyrov called public interest in the amount of funding announced "rumours." "Let me remind you that I do not have a perfect command of the professional and in-depth Russian language. And I am not an academic, as you well know, so much remains unspecified," he said and urged journalists not to try to "catch the so-called hype."

Earlier, in a live broadcast posted on Daudov’s Instagram, Kadyrov said: “I also thought that we needed a separate Ichkeria. But I swear we won’t be able to live even three months. He added that there is "no gas, no oil, no electricity" on the territory of Chechnya: "I've been looking for seven years now, but I can't find a single investor to be involved in processing. We won't survive without Russia."

Ramzan Kadyrov is an Honorary Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Federal Republic, an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, an Honorary Professor of the Modern Humanitarian Academy, and an Honorary Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Crimea (annexed by Russia).
