Fitch Raises Rating of SOCAR
The rating action comes after Azerbaijan's sovereign rating outlook (BB+/Positive) was revised. SOCAR's creditworthiness was strengthened, which may improve its standalone credit profile (SCP).
Fitch rates Armenia at "B+"
According to the report, Armenia has good per-capita income, governance, and business environment indicators relative to peers. "It also has a solid macroeconomic and fiscal policy framework, a genuine commitment to reform, and IMF support, all of which contribute to its 'B+' IDRs. Geopolitical concerns, a substantial portion of state debt denominated in other currencies, and weak external finances work against these advantages," Fitch said.
Fitch downgrades the International Bank of Azerbaijan's outlook to "Stable" from "Positive," but maintains the "B" rating
“Although ABB has returned to its trajectory of reducing OCP, this has been delayed by the decision to temporarily reverse OCP, which Fitch views as an indication of higher risk appetite and a more aggressive stance towards currency risk. This drives the revision of the Outlook on the IDR to Stable from Positive,” the agency said in a report.
According to Fitch, CIS+ sovereigns' growth prospects are poorer, and their balance sheet prospects are mixed
Due to exposure to the Russia-Ukraine war, Fitch Ratings has revised down its GDP growth expectations for the CIS+ area for 2022, although the impact on sovereign balance sheets differs, since oil and gas producers would gain from higher export prices.

Fitch revises Georgia’s economic outlook
On 6 August, the global credit agency “Fitch” revised the outlook on Georgia's Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) to Stable from Negative and affirmed the IDR at ‘BB’.
