In response to Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili's statements, Inar Gitsba, a member of the de-facto Parliament of separatist Abkhazia, stated that an agreement between two sovereign states—the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation—had nothing to do with Georgia. Additionally, he claimed that there is no settlement called Bichvinta on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia, referring to the Abkhazian term "Pitsunda".

We are an international team of Caucasus enthusiasts and are currently looking for local contributors who focus on social, economic, political and security dynamics of the said region.
