Ararat Mirzoyan receives Russia's Special Representative for normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations

On July 28, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Igor Khovaev, the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and Russia's Special Representative for Normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, the Press Office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported

During the meeting, a broad framework of issues regarding normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were discussed. 

Foreign Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of using the institute and the experience of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship, in accordance with its international mandate.

On July 22, Caucasus Watch reported that the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, Igor Khovaev, the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on the current situation in the region, including the steps taken in various directions within the framework of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The parties stressed the importance of full implementation of the provisions of the tripartite statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia in order to ensure peace and security in the region. The officials noted the importance of mobilizing all efforts to advance the normalization process and achieve concrete results.
