Abkhazia is Ready to Open Ports for Parallel Imports to Russia

The Kremlin-backed leader of the occupied Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, announced that after a sizable number of nations issued sanctions on Russia, the region is prepared to open its ports to parallel imports from Russia as the Kremlin seeks to dodge Western sanctions imposed after it started its invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

“Caucasus Watch” is seeking local specialists from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the North Caucasus region, to assist our research endeavours and help enrich our content.

“Caucasus Watch” is an independent platform, which provides coverage of recent developments in various locations of the Caucasus region for the German and overall European stakeholders.
