The opposition should seek to overthrow the government and hold early parliamentary elections, said the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, in an address to his supporters. His lawyer expressed concern that the politician, who has been on hunger strike for 32 days, say that he could be kidnapped if transferred to a hospital in Gori.

Saakashvili called on his supporters to achieve early parliamentary elections in the country. He also called on his associates to follow the example of the leader of the opposition Lelo party, Mamuka Khazaradze. "I would advise all my comrades-in-arms and simply patriots of the country and decent people in parliament to follow the example of Mr. Khazaradze, leave parliament and leave Dream alone with themselves," Saakashvili said in a letter.
