In a joint statement, 48 opposition and independent members of the Georgian parliament denounced the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party's ongoing war blackmail campaign against the Western allies and vowed to support Carl Hartzell, former EU Ambassador to Georgia, and Kelly Degnan, US Ambassador to Georgia. Signers included the United National Movement, For Georgia, Lelo for Georgia, Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Georgian Republican Party, Law and Justice, and a number of independent MPs.

They emphasised that the Georgian Dream government and the constitutional bodies of Georgia are responsible for ensuring that Georgia is integrated into the EU and NATO, in accordance with Article 78 of the Georgian Constitution, and that their actions serve the purpose of hindering such integration. In their statement, the MPs highlighted the importance of the US and EU in Georgia's statehood and its Western ambitions since they earned independence. They stressed that this political effort, which alleges that Georgia's strategic partners are attempting to draw it into the war against Russia, not only includes both current and former members of the GD party but also some representatives of the judicial corp.

The MPs also cited Bidzina Ivanishvili's most recent letter as proof of his association with the anti-state campaign of GD. The letter acknowledged Ivanishvili's meeting with Ambassador Degnan but did not disclose its details. Additionally, the MPs stated that such actions go against Georgia's national interest and are intended to cut off Georgia from its Western allies and partners, leaving it vulnerable to the Russian Federation. It is noteworthy that such parties as Girchi, the Citizens Party, or the European Socialists did not sign the declaration.
