According to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the fight with brother people [Ossetian and Abkhazians] caused huge devastation, forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes, and took the lives of countless military and civilians. Garibashvili claimed that Georgia would work with the Abkhazians and Ossetians to create a unified and democratic state by pursuing a peace-oriented strategy.
"I think that the day when we will continue to forge an indivisible, powerful, peaceful, democratic state with our Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers is becoming closer thanks to our peace-oriented policies centred on respect and communication," he added. The PM claims that it will establish each and every scenario required to guarantee each citizen's safety, well-being, and the preservation and strengthening of their unique identities.
Additionally, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili spoke about the country's exports' worth, which reached a record $540 million in July, a 40% increase over the same time in 2021. Between January and July, the value of exports rose by roughly 37%, reaching more than $3 billion. The PM stated that there was an approximately $10,200,000,000 increase in trade turnover from January to July compared to the same period the previous year.
According to Irakli Garibashvili, companies that import petroleum have agreed to cut expenditures by 20 to 30 tetri (0.07 to 0.10) by the end of August. He also brought up the businesses' earlier choice to reduce prices by 10 tetri (0.3 euros). The PM promised to pay close attention to this particular issue. The head of government also suggested that the Competition Agency look into the reliability of gasoline importers and start a relevant investigation.
