Kadyrov Addresses Business Elite: "What are You Waiting for? Donbas Must Be Protected"

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, called on Russian big business to support a special military operation in the Donbas. This was discussed at a meeting between Kadyrov and representatives of the power bloc of Chechnya on August 22.

“Today, some Western countries are actually waging an unofficial war against our state. And if Russia conducts an operation in the Donbas, then NATO provides Ukraine with weapons and agrees to use them in Sevastopol and Crimea – [occupied] in the territories of Russia. If Russia were a weak power, this NATO alliance would climb into our state from all cracks without hiding Ukraine. In my understanding, all business should now work for those who are fighting for the triumph of justice in the Donbas," the head of Chechnya said. He emphasized that he did not mean ordinary business people, but first of all, the elite - the highest echelons of business, who were able to make huge capital in this country. "You need to be useful to the Motherland when it needs you," Kadyrov urged. "Today, we all must be united more than ever — from the heads of subjects to business elites. If the United States and its allies allocate huge funds to support the Banderovites, then what is the Russian business community waiting for? There is no need to wait until your Fatherland lacks resources,” he said. According to Kadyrov, this also applies to the heads of regions.

"It is necessary at crucial moments for the state to take the initiative, without waiting for a signal from above, to take responsibility. Already now, there should have been ready reserves of volunteers in each subject. There are tens of thousands of applicants in any corner of Russia. However, if the local authorities do not create and announce prepared sites for recruitment, then people do not know where they can sign up for the reserves. Therefore, everyone comes to us. But excuse me, volunteers should be sent not only through the Chechen Republic,” Kadyrov said.

The head of Chechnya noted, "Why do patriots from the Far East have to go a long way and spend a lot of money on the road to be trained in Gudermes and go to the Donbas from Grozny? They are not going there for their own sake but in the interests of the Fatherland. Without weakening domestic policy in the regions, it is necessary that local authorities create conditions for recruiting volunteers in their regions. He said that the units from Chechnya are equipped and armed with all the necessary weapons and equipment. “They are 100% equipped. In addition, new battalions have been created and formed, which are waiting in the wings,” said the head of Chechnya.
