German Bundestag Member:

German Bundestag Member: "Georgia Is Part of Europe"

On October 10, Frank Schwabe, a member of the German Bundestag, stated that Georgia is a respected member of the Council of Europe (CoE). "The CoE is doing everything to push Georgia closer to the European institutions," he added.

Schwabe said that Georgia is a valued member of Europe and thus should undoubtedly have a tight connection with the EU. A member of the Bundestag thinks Georgia should address its issues to approach the EU.

"The nation faces certain difficulties, and I am aware that the administration and the opposition are engaged in a heated debate," Frank Schwabe stated. He said the closer Georgia could move to the European Union, the more the country's condition would be improved and tensions reduced. According to him, this is something European institutions do not like.
