NATO Partnerships and Cooperative Security Committee Visits Georgia

On November 11, the NATO Partnerships and Cooperative Security Committee (PCSC) group visited Georgia, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.

It further stated that the visit underscores NATO's steadfast support for Georgia's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and ambitions for an independent, sovereign Europe. The Office of the National Security Council, the Coast Guard, and the Border Police of the Interior Ministry attended an interagency conference on defense and security problems sponsored by the Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC), the Defense Ministry reports.

The parties addressed defense and security reforms and the region's growing security problems and environment. The necessity of strengthening NATO-Georgia collaboration was again emphasized.

Earlier, on November 10, Caucasus Watch reported that the training course "Assessment of Operations at the Operational Level in NATO" was held at the Military Management Institute of Azerbaijan by the Mobile Training Group of NATO's Joint Forces Command in Brunssum. The Ministry informed that on the first day of the training, military personnel from different types of troops of the Azerbaijan Army were taught by representatives of the mobile training group about "NATO and military cooperation," "NATO operations planning process," "NATO operations evaluation," "NATO operations analysis," and other topics.
