CSTO Secretary General: CSTO Is Not Going to Turn Away from Armenia

The CSTO Secretary General reiterated that the organization will not turn away from Armenia. He noted that in 2022, the heads of the organization's member states met three times to discuss the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, adding that the CSTO proposals on sending an observation mission to Armenia remain in force, and it can be organized quite quickly.

Commenting on the issue of rallies in Yerevan demanding Armenia's withdrawal from the organization, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that the criticism of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) voiced by individual politicians is not helpful and does not contribute to the search for mutually acceptable solutions.
